It’s been a long day and the wind has picked up in the afternoon

I was able to find some dry wood to add to the decking. It’s a good enough
replacement. It will keep out the dampness.

With all the things he’s been carrying for so many years, I’m surprised he’s
not been tempted to climb out on the port side and pull himself out. That’s
exactly what he should do. It seems too easy to him. He’s not supposed to
be an adventurer. Yet, he’s lived a life of adventure and has become something
he never envisioned. He’s a man who’ll do anything to get what he wants.

I know that for the rest of my life, I will be thankful for the time I spent
with him. I saw greatness in a man who was more of an unknown than known. His
life changed for the better through the power of a woman. He gave her the world
and he’s given her love. The world is a better place because of him.

I just pray that my journey ends with me knowing what I have to be thankful

“I’ve made a promise. I’ve made a promise to God and myself, and I’ve
made a promise to her.”

It’s been a long day and the wind has picked up in the afternoon. I’m too hot and the sun is too bright and I feel too guilty to go to my room to take a nap.

I can’t help but think of the time that we were driving in the car. We had to stop at a town after a big rain storm.

I had to get out of the car and help him through the rain. When I got home I went to bed and slept until the middle of the night. The next morning he brought me some food from his father’s restaurant.

It was a warm spring day and we were in a park. I had to hold him while he
dashed across the grass. He was so excited to go to his first park in his life.
That’s what he calls his father’s restaurant.

I don’t know if I would have made it if it hadn’t been for him. I don’t know what this park looks like without him.

“I didn’t expect that she would understand what I want. I thought she would be happy for me.”

You can see her sitting on the porch. She’s holding her hand in her lap, stroking the grass. I didn’t want to tell her that I had to drive all the way back to Chicago, but she wouldn’t listen. She was trying to make me feel better by telling me that I knew her.

I don’t know what to do with my life. If I’m ever to find happiness, I need to find it without her.

When I finally got home, the house was dark. My mother was asleep, but I wanted to make sure. The phone was off the hook and the answering machine was recording. That’s how you know that something bad has happened.

I had to call her to tell her everything. I know that the two of us haven’t seen eye to eye, but in my heart I want to forgive her and let her live.

“I won’t leave you alone. You always need me.”

It’s been almost a year since we parted ways. She moved in with some friends and I don’t know what happened to her. She’s no longer here in Chicago. I don’t know who she’s living with. All I know is that she’s not coming back.

I spent my whole life looking for her. I was trying to find out what happened to her. I knew that she loved me. I did things for her that I never would have done had I not been with her.

“I had always been told that I was beautiful. I was told that I couldn’t be anything but good. I was so sure of it. I thought I would be the man, the man she’d be happy with. But it didn’t work out like that and she didn’t get the life that she’s really entitled to.

“I won’t leave you alone. You always need me.”

The house was a mess. It had been weeks since I left, but I still couldn’t sleep. I just couldn’t stop thinking about her.

She was beautiful. The way she looked was like nothing else I’ve ever seen. So much beauty in one person.

The first thing she ever said to me was “I love you.” I was stunned by her words. It was the first thing I had ever heard from her. She just let me in.

There’s a lot of things that I’ve learned from her. Things that I will never forget. She has taught me how to be strong. That there is a way to walk through life without being afraid of anything. She taught me how to be thankful.

Without her I wouldn’t be the man I am today. It was because she was in my life that I got to see what it feels like to be someone for a short time. I only met her through my father but I met her for real when I was sixteen.

It was the first time in my life that I had a real friendship with a girl. It was the first time in my life that a girl who liked me truly did care about me.

I still have a hard time accepting that she’s gone. I still have a hard time accepting that I’m not going to see her around.

“I won’t leave you alone. You always need me.”

I just wish that I could remember and talk to her. If she’s still around then I’ll never see her.

I can tell by the looks on everyone’s faces at the funeral that their hearts went out to her. Her kids have grown up. I’ve seen them twice and once was enough.

I won’t leave you alone. You always need me.

“I was always afraid that people would stop loving me. They said that I was ugly. They said that I was different. I guess I was afraid that people would stop finding me attractive and stop loving me for being the way I was.

If I wasn’t so afraid, I never would have left you.”

I knew I couldn’t stop loving you. I knew love was going to be hard. It was going to be more than I ever imagined.

After the funeral I went and sat on the front porch and cried. I wanted to cry because I had spent the past few days crying.

You taught me how to be strong. It was because you were in my life that I got to see what it feels like to be someone for a short time. I only met you through my father.
